Ann Arbor City Council Unanimously Approves Memo of Intent
Monday evening, after an hour and a half of other pressing city issues, the Ann Arbor City Council unanimously approved the Memo of Intent, a document laying out how the City and AASAC will work together to make the skatepark project happen. The Ann Arbor Chronicle was there to report on the council meeting, and reported the following:
The council chambers were almost at capacity due to the large number of supporters of the skatepark proposed for Veterans Park. Trevor Staples and Dug Song, of the Skatepark Action Committee, had front row seats and allowed The Chronicle to squeeze in amongst them because we arrived only minutes before the meeting started. Council passed the memorandum of intent and fund agreement for development of the park.
Outcome: passed unanimously without discussion
